"Novjaro quintet, founded in 1997, plunged very excellently into playing Astor Piazzolla's cultivated musical language. Young players found the essence of Piazzolla's grotesque but beautiful music. Three pieces from the Angel-series was a refined proof of this. The first part, Milonga Del Angel, resounded both oppressively expansible passion of milonga and transcendentally beautiful purity of the sound in the slow legatos of violin. In the death-part the dissonances typical for Piazzolla rended rasping and rough. The exact, dynamically prepared accents in the technically very precise playing bursted into the air like exclamation marks and their effect was grounded exquisitely with the deceleration of tempo and pianissimos, which one listened to by holding the breath."
"Astor Piazzollan hienostuneeseen sävelkieleen heittäytyi aivan erinomaisesti vuonna 1997 perustettu Novjaro-kvintetti. Nuoret soittajat löysivät kypsästi Piazzollan musiikin rujonkauniin ytimen, mistä kolmiosainen Enkeli-sarja oli hieno näyttö. Sen ensimmäinen osa, Milonga Del Angel, soi sekä pakahduttavaksi paisuvaa milongan intohimoa että ylimaallisen kaunista puhtautta viulun hitaissa legatoissa. Kuolema-osassa riipivät tyypilliset, Piazzolla-dissonanssit kirskuvan karkeina.
